KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip III Arrhidaios, 323-317 BC. Drachm (Silver, 18 mm, 4.26 g, 12 h), Magnesia ad Maeandrum, struck under Menander or Kleitos, circa 323-319. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Zeus seated left on low-backed throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, bee to right. Price P50 var. (no spear). Struck from a slightly worn reverse die, otherwise, very fine.
